HARRC Picnic Run The 2005 HARRC picnic kicked off with a 2.5 mile mile run around Adams-Ricci Park or a 1.25 mile fun run. Mike and Sammy Smith completed the 1,25 mile loop in 8:50. Sammy is trying to get to the 7 minute mile speed and it looks like he is just about there. The 2.5 mile double loop was negotiated by Jim Collins in 16:22 followed by Jim Vorhauer in 17:40 and Brad Colwell in 17:44. Charley Laverty explained that the land currently occupied by the park was farmland owned by two families the Adam’s and the Ricci’s and subsequently given to the town for the public use.
