Adams-Ricci 5 Miler
On a blustery, cool, and sunny morning a record 35 runners
showed up to take on what proved to be a challenging five mile
course through the hills and valleys of East Pennsboro. I was
frankly surprised at the turnout considering the adverse weather
conditions and the reputation I have acquired for hosting hilly
out and backs. Maybe it was the AGCS cache that drew our winning
runners Tadd Morris
and Gary Grobman to
turn in matching times of 33:09. Rounding the course within the
same minute was Gordon
Kaslusky at 33:44. Finishing first for the
women was Erin Brunelle
with a sub eight minute time of 38:44 followed by
Amy Diehl
with a respectable time of 46:02. I'd like to thank
Charlie Laverty
for ably assisting me as timekeeper at the finish line as well
as Tadd Morris
for adjusting the occasional directional marker. Thankfully
everyone found their way back safely despite the windy weather.
