On a
balmy Sunday morning approximately 40 people turned out for a taste of
cross country running. And that means killer hills,
shady trails ...and a few missed turns. Frank
Leiter proved to be the top harrier as he lead from start to
finish with a time of 17:46. Ryan
Blood celebrated his 15th birthday with a 19:20 for second
place besting Tom Snedden by 14 seconds.
Rick Blood and Mike
Garman rounded out the top five with a 19:37.
Fueled by high octane white wine, Stacy Pietras
was the first woman in at 23:30. Lauren Hickok
was second at 23:32 and Jen Markley was
third at 24:01.
Overall the response to the course was very
positive and the race director promises to do a better job marking
the course for his next trail offering.
