Weekly Sunday Club Run
July 2, 2000

Race Director: Mark Barnhardt

On July 2 we returned for the second running of the 'Winding Hill' 5 mile/10 mile run.  ( some new runners actually asked if this course is hilly?) The course is a scenic figure 8 along the Yellow Breaches allowing runners to decide at 4 miles if they really want to run 10 miles.    On a holiday weekend 15 runners completed the 5 mile course with Andy O Donnell showing us that he still has the speed to finish first.  Nine runners continued on for 10 miles with Tadd Morris finishing first while barely breaking a sweat.   Mike Garman finished a close second with Randy Murphy  "Mr. race up the hills" in third.
There was discussion about doing this course as a biathlon in the fall since bike racks are at the start that could be used for the transition.  If you are interested in including a biathlon in the fall schedule e-mail the Sunday race director.
