Four-Mile Prediction Run
Today’s adventuresome and “watchless” crew headed northward along
Riverfront Park into the rising heat and humidity for a four-mile
prediction run.
Winners were those who were most adept at pacing themselves according to
their predicted times.
Chris Gipe and Mike
McFadden took top honors by being a mere one second off their
predicted times. Within seven seconds of his predicted time was Brad
Colwell. Wayne Smithers and Andy
O’Donnell (both 10 seconds off) were also prize-winners.
Most athletic maneuver of-the-day goes to Sheldon
Goodrich who dodged an irate and unfriendly biker out on the
course. Had I known that both Nick and Sheldon would be in
attendance, I most certainly would have brought along leftover Christmas
cookies.
Special thanks to Susie Kramer for helping at
the finish line following her powerwalk. She continues to amaze us
all with her fitness level during pregnancy month #8.
