11/12/00 Four Mile Prediction Run
"Does anybody really know what time it is?"
- from Chicago I album
"Who's that guy?" questioned many of the top runners in
today's four-mile
prediction run along breezy Riverfront Park. "That guy"
turned out to be York
speedster, Kevin Stover, who sprinted through
today's race in 21:21, leaving
only a trail of dust (well, okay, not really dust) for those that
followed. Our
own Frank Leiter ran a PR of 21:56 while
trying to chase down Stover.
Top female was
Kelly Stover in 27:14, who journeyed up I-83 with husband
Kevin, to lead today's event on the women's side. Kelly was also
only 14 seconds off her predicted time and returned to York with one of
our valuable Prediction Run prizes in hand.
New Dad Bobby
Kramer led the pack in being closest to his predicted time (4
seconds off). Kelly Stover was in
second place (14 seconds off). Third place
winner was Tadd Morris (15 seconds) and in
fourth place came overall winner,
Kevin Stover. Andy
O'Donnell, coming off last week's Harrisburg Marathon,
took 5th place.
And of course, Josh and Matt Lebo completed
the kids' fun run and started the
morning off with a Hershey Bar.
