ITALIAN LAKE

3 or 6 miles

On the last day of the year 2000 the final HARRC Sunday Run of 2000 was held at Italian Lake.  Despite the cold weather and preparations for the new year 31 runners made the journey on
the 3 or 6 mile race.  We even had a returning runner, Peter Blank from Virginia who was competing in his 199th race for the year and was planning on running a race later in the day to accomplish 200 for 2000.  We also were glad to see Tom Snedden and Patti Adami at the run and would hope they become regulars again in 2001.

The 3 mile run was led by Tadd Morris at 17:47 (maybe he was running that fast to avoid frost bite from running in shorts).  Tom Snedden finished in second place at 20:10 and Rick Wertman finished third at 22:02.  Marge Lebo led the female runners with a time of 23:26.

The 6 mile run was led by Mike Garman at 39:40 followed by a second place tie between Jeff White and Randy Murphy at 41:41.  The first female finisher was Susan Kramer at 46:02 who is making a great come back after the recent addition to their family.
