WINDING HILL ROAD  5 or 10 miles

What is the definition of a true runner?  Today was the test, when a group of six dedicated runners actually showed for the Winding Hill Run on a cold, windy morning following a night of snow.  The runners were warned that the 5 mile course had been plowed (but icy) the second 5 mile loop consisted of tracks created by my truck while setting up the course.  The two West Shore River Rats, Randy Murphy and Jim Honchar,  completed the ten mile course  in an amazing time (considering the conditions) tied at 1:20:12.  Where were the River Rats from the East Shore?  The five mile run was lead by Frank Crupi followed by Ed Pague, Marge Lebo, and Rick Tolbert.  All six of these runners deserve to be nominated for dedicated runner of the year.
