WEEKLY SUNDAY CLUB RUN

Riverfront Part 2/5 Miler

The Sunday morning run was the first one with the new day light saving time. Although it’s April, the temperature is not above 40 degrees, which is good for running.

Twenty three runners started with 7 turning around at the Governor’s mansion and running two miles. Dave Falgoust was first in that event along with Buck with a time of 15:28. Bob Daniels, former marathon director, was second followed by Rick Tolbert, Bruce Irvin, Steve Wasserman, Phil Spagnolo and Sheldon Goodrich.

The others went farther North and turned around at Lewis street to complete a 5 miler. The trio of Jim Honchar, Mike Garman and Mark Barnhardt tied in a time of 35:32. Mario Gordon was next. Mario was followed by Chris Gipe and Marge Lebo who was the first women to finish. Her time was 38:42.

The weather cooperated and everyone had a good time. Good job runners!
