HACC 2 Mile Run

On a bright ,sunny and mild Sat. morning 17 runners came to HACC to run the (not used this year) VALENTINES' 2 MILE COURSE.  7 OF THE GUYS RAN TO THE
START FROM "CITY ISLAND" proceeded to do the run and then continued back to whence they came-way to go guys. Speaking of which, and this is one of the few times I can remember , we only had a "guys" run. What about it ladies-now I guess we need to have an all girls run????????/  It should be noted though that Margie Lebo did in fact run from Camp Hill to the start where she then took over support duties for Matt Lebo while other son Josh Lebo started (he told me it was just his 2nd 2 miler) along side of dad Dave Lebo.

Charles Laverty was doing this run to help celebrate his 76th Birthday which was the next day. Don Osman and Sheldon Goodrich ran with him singing "happy birthday" the entire route-or so I was told?  Walt Greene was warming up when he felt a groin pull and had to "limp" back to the starting point-a fun run that was not!  Rachel Irvin was the official timer after doing her fun run.

Front Street Run

I directed today's Fun Run for Brad Colwell at Front & Forster. It was a beautiful Spring day, sunny and mild - perfect weather for a run along the river. Unfortunately, I was the only one who showed up. Nevertheless, I ran 5.25 miles north to the turnaround past the Jewish Community Center in a leisurely 44:50. I suppose the nice weather along with the holiday weekend accounted for the no shows. Too bad this run didn't count - I could use another first place finish.
