Silver Spring 5.7 Mile Trail Run

On a cloudy day with temperatures in the high 60's and the humidity around 90%,  10 runners took to the hills of Silver Spring Township for only the second trail run this year.  The usual cast of characters chose not to participate so the honor of leading the pack fell to newcomer James Byrne in a time of 38:09, followed closely by veteran Gary Grobman in 38:30.  Frank Crupi came in third thanks in part to (in his words), "Tadd Morris, Mike Garman and Mark Barnhardt skipping this run."  The only female to make it today, Tracey Stewart, was off a little bit due to some litter patrol work she did at the turnaround.  The official results:
