Lake 3 or 6 Miles
A nice 30 degree January day brought out 42 runners to
participate in HARRC’s weekly Sunday run.
Tadd Morris led 28 finishers in the
three mile event with a speedy 18:00.
Newcomer, 23 year old Andy Estes, who
just started running one month ago to get over a smoking habit came in
second in 19:16. Oh what an advantage youth have.
Susie Kramer, in sixth place led the
women with a 22:43.
Tom Snedden led 14 runners in the six mile
run with 40:01. Ed
Gamber was second in 41:32. Jen
Gilbert, in third place with a 45:25 led the women.
Thanks to helpers John Donovan who called out
times and Pat Spagnola who chased after
finishers to get their names. I
never saw Pat move so fast. Mike
Garman set out and picked up the directional signs.
Mike also set out a one mile and two mile marker while remarking
that it didn’t matter if they were off a few yards because no one would
notice. Well leave it to Stacey
Pietras to comment that the one mile marker must have been long.
You can’t fool a serious runner.
