Adam-Ricci 5 Miler
On a cool, partly cloudy Spring morning 29 runners assembled at
Adams-Ricci park in East Pennsboro to tackle the hilly course. The
course began with a steep downhill, snaked along the Conodoguinet
Creek, and then ascended a series of hills before climbing back to the
park. First in at a blazing time of 34:43 was
Frank Leiter in excellent form. He was followed by
John Painter with a very respectable
35:40 and by 2004 HARRC Male Runner of the Year,
Ed Gamber at 35:51. First in for the women was 2004 HARRC
Female Runner of the Year, Becki McClintock
also posting a time of 35:40. The second female runner finishing was
Jennifer Gilbert clocking in at 38:30.
Rhonda Hakundy and
Mary Alice McClintock tied for the women's third place finish
at 54:03. I'd like to thank Charlie Laverty
again for his able assistance in timing the finishers.
