HACC/Wildwood Lake 10K

A Great turnout showed for a humid August morning. The course starts in the Harrisburg Area Community College parking lot, winds it way to a loop around scenic Wildwood Lake and returns to the HACC parking lot. The course was accurately measured in advance by Greg Warner’s GPS watch. The four runners with GPS were all asked to verify the measurements. Those results were Frank Crupi: 6.16 miles, Greg Warner 6.19 miles (his better be close), Ken Senft 6.26 miles and Jim Collins 6.33 miles. We think Jim must have gotten lost in the lake because the other three average to the exact distance of a 10K.

Newcomer Karsten Brown dominated the field with Gary Grobman not too far behind. Diane Gutshall was tops of several women in the field. Bob Daniels demonstrated his powerful finishing kick as he made up over 20 yards to pass Mary Lou Harris just before the finish. (Hey Bob how about picking on someone your own size)
