HARRC Spring into Summer 5 km Series

Despite the thunderstorm that kicked up one hour before race time, seventeen runners and five children participated in their respective events.  Thank goodness they did because my only thought before the race was how we would get rid of a six foot SubWay sub.   No need to worry, despite the weather, the runners ran a great race and then polished off the full sub too! 

The times were fast despite the humidity.  Frank Leiter was first across the line overall in 18:46.  Geoff Brent was second in 19:29.  Smokin Suzie Kramer was the first female and fourth overall with a personal best of 20:05.  Shawna Brent (Geoff’s better half) was second in a time of 21:37.  Congratulations to all who showed up and we look forward to a great run on 11 July, 6:30pm, at the New Cumberland Army Depot.
