HARRC SUMMER SERIES 5K
15 August 2001

The final race of the HARRC Spring-Summer 5km series was held Wednesday, 15 August on a hot and humid evening.  Twenty-two runners ran in the 5km event and 7 children ran in the kids fun run.  Mike Bressi led the 5km runners with a winning time of 17:10 and Karen Zeplin was first for the women with 23:10.  Richard Zumkhawala-Cook, new to the area, made an impressive debut in the HARRC series with a time of 17:31.

Overall, the HARRC 5km series brought in 4 boxes of canned goods and groceries and over $200, all of which was donated to the Harrisburg Food Bank.
